The best time to do this is when you are changing your filters, preferably all 5 filters.
Steps:
- Drain the system, including the tank.
- Shut off all valves (Point X and Point Z on figure 1).
- Remove the 3 pre-filters and membrane but leave on the 5th stage polish filter.
- Put about 2oz to 4oz of hydrogen peroxide or common household bleach into the first stage housing.
- Turn on all the valves.
- Fill 2 tanks of water and empty the 2 tanks of water out.
- Re-insert the filters, the membrane and replace stage 5 filter.
