The PH plus cartridge is a super high capacity, self regenerating PH increaser. It is for general drinking water pH increase purposes. Also it can be used as an reverse osmosis polisher if desired(installed at the last stage). It is constructed totally from FDA grade materials and media. The PH+ will deliver a neutral effluent form acidic feed as low as PH2. Low PH's require slower flow rates.
The PH plus is unique in that it has two PH increasing medias. One is an ion exchange resin that will only neutralize acids. The other is a sacrificial media that reacts well in a low PH environment but tends to overcorrect when left standing. This overcorrection serves to regenerate the ion exchange resin which, in turn, neutralizes the high PH overcorrection in the process. It is important that this cartridge be used in intermittent flow applications to take advantage of its self-regenerating properties.
