"Sure I pay more for bottled water, but it's worth it right?"

The fact is that bottled water sold in the United States is not always filtered and not necessarily cleaner or safer than most tap water, according to a four-year scientific study recently made public by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). The NRDC's study included testing more than 1,000 bottles of 103 brands of bottled water. While most of the tested waters were found to be of high quality, some brands were significantly contaminated. About one-third of the waters tested contained levels of contamination including synthetic organic chemicals, bacteria, and arsenic (at least one sample exceeded allowable limits under either state or bottled water industry standards or guidelines). In fact, about a quarter of all bottled water is actually bottled tap water, according to government and industry estimates (some estimates go as high as 40 percent).

You don't have to compromise on quality or value. By installing a residential RO system, you can proactively maintain the quality of your drinking water. These systems can produce water comparable to top-quality bottled water brands at only a fraction of the cost, making them a much better value for your pocketbook and your health.

"Money is tight. I will just boil my tap water for drinking."

When it comes to lowering your household expenses there are many things you can do to improve your monthly budget but forcing yourself to drink unfiltered tap water should not be one of them. The truth is, most tap and well water in the US today are not safe for drinking due to heavy industrial and environmental pollution which has made its way into all our sources of our drinking water, including municipal water systems, wells, lakes, and rivers. The majority of these pollutants cannot be removed by boiling water or by using a simple faucet or pitcher filter.

These contaminants range from naturally-occurring minerals to man-made chemicals and byproducts. While many contaminants are found at levels not enough not to cause immediate discomforts or sicknesses, it is proven that even low-level exposure to many common contaminants will, over time, cause severe illness including liver damage, cancer, and other serious ailments. Even the chemicals commonly used to treat municipal water supplies such as chlorine and fluoride are toxic and are known to have significant adverse effects on the human body. As if this was not bad enough, traces of pharmaceutical drugs have recently been found in tap water in cities all across America.

Reverse Osmosis Systems can remove from 90 -99% of all contaminants from tap water.
